Steel Building Insulation Options
The thickest system that can be achieved by installing single layer system is a 6" R-19 system.
- Airplane Hangars
- Equipment Storage
The Double Layer System is recommended when there is an Energy Code governing the construction. All Temperature Controlled environments and any environment where there are occupants can benefit from a Double Layer Insulation System.
This innovative system has one of the highest thermal performance results in the industry. It consists of a network of steel bands and a seamless energy saver fabric, which resists tears and conceals the secondary structural steel providing a smooth, bright, durable finished surface. This system offers excellent thermal isolation with one of the best vapor retarder ratings available.
Insulated Metal Panels
Insulated Metal Panels offer high r-values, excellent thermal performance, airtightness, condensation control, and add a clean finished look to your metal building.
A Thermal Spacer Block is placed between the metal roof sheet and the roof purlin (or between the wall girt and wall sheeting) isolating the outer shell from the inner frame of the metal building. Thermal Blocks can increase insulation performance as much as 2 times in certain buildings. The system is proven to be structurally sound and water tight.
