Arizona IECC Energy Codes for Metal Buildings

Commercial Insulation Arizona

We understand that keeping energy costs low is critical in Arizona, where extreme temperatures are of concern. Whether your metal buildings are in the scorching Phoenix and Tucson areas, or in more temperate locales, like Flagstaff, insulation is crucial to maintaining a comfortable interior environment for occupants, both human and animals.

Steel Building Insulation, provides top of the line commercial insulation materials, and insulation panels to Arizona residents and businesses. These insulation systems are designed to reduce your insulation costs while maximizing overall energy savings.

Our business model relies on a combination of low overhead costs and volume pre-purchasing from commercial insulation manufacturers that has made us the leading provider of steel building insulation in Arizona and nationally for more than 30 years, and has given us the ability to offer discounts to our desert-dwelling consumers as high as 50 percent.

Our insulation panels and insulation blankets are crafted from highly-resilient fiber glass and are available with a variety of facing options, and offer high R-values that offer substantial resistance to heat transfer, resulting in lower utility costs from the time of installation. Facings are available in both white vinyl and polypropylene, and range from light-duty, low-cost WMP-VR to the extremely heavy-duty, high impact GYMGUARD materials. Our insulation rolls are are available in 3’, 4’, 5 and 6’ standard-width roll sizes, and can be delivered to virtually any accessible building site. Our products are professionally color-coded, pre-cut rolls intended to simplify the installation process.

While Arizona does not currently have any statewide energy codes for commercial structures, our metal building insulation product line adheres to the standards set by the North American Insulation Manufacturers Association (NAIMA), and are fire-resistant and non-combustible.

Arizona Energy Codes

Current Building Energy Code for Arizona: None.
See State Certification Letter of Commercial and Residential Building Codes.

Arizona is a home rule state, thus codes are adopted and enforced on a local level. The State Energy Code Advisory Commission will review the state energy code through an open, voluntary, and consensus process.

All state-funded buildings must achieve Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Silver certification. Executive Order #2005-05 also requires newly constructed state-funded buildings to incorporate renewable energy.
